Coming out for Summer Bash, or any GXT event? Here is how people usually do it. Minden and Reno are not near Las Vegas — just saying.
Flying in
Reno-Tahoe International Airport is close to every event. Big Mike Perkins drives for a living and is our unofficial GXT ride — it still costs you a few bucks, but Big Mike is the guy.
Where people stay
The Grand Sierra Resort, Reno
A good hotel, and we have stayed there many times. It is near the airport, and one of the week’s events is actually held inside the GSR.
Carson Valley Inn, Minden
A lot of you stayed here last year. It is closer to most of the events and right in our backyard. We are working out discounts and will post the details as they are confirmed.
Getting your bearings
Minden sits below Carson City; Reno is above it. If you want to stay somewhere else, or you are driving in, the Carson City area map shows the surrounding towns.
