What GenXTalks collects, the cookies the site sets, and the services that load only when you use them.
Draft — needs review before launch. This page describes what the site does technically and is accurate as built, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Please have it checked and replace or extend it before the site goes live.
What this site collects
Browsing GenXTalks does not require an account and we do not build a profile of you.
- If you buy something. Orders are handled by our store. Checkout happens on Shopify, so your payment details go to Shopify and never touch this site. We never see or store card numbers.
- If you become a member. Membership accounts store the name, email address and billing details you enter, so we can give you access to what you paid for.
- If you email us. We keep the message so we can reply. Coin hunt entries sent to [email protected] are used to verify finds and award prizes.
- Your team. If you pick a team, that choice is stored in your own browser. It is never sent to us.
Cookies
The site sets cookies when you add something to a cart or sign in to a membership. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and no analytics tracker is configured.
Other services
Some parts of the site load content from elsewhere. Nothing below runs until you use the feature it belongs to:
- YouTube — video players load only after you press play. Nothing is requested from YouTube before that.
- Megaphone — podcast audio loads only when you start an episode.
- Shopify — the store catalogue is mirrored here; checkout takes place on Shopify.
- Cloudflare — serves the site and its images, and sees the request in the process.
