GOLD COIN HUNT
Gold Coin Hunt
Painted gold coins hidden across the country, with published coordinates. Find one and the prize package includes $100 cash, $100 store credit and free entry to every GXT event.
Like Wonka, like Halliday, now GenXTalks. We are hiding painted gold coins right across the country. Never on private property, never anywhere you would have to break a rule to reach. Hidden from public view, but we tell you exactly where to look — you just have to get there.
How it works
Every coin that is in play has its coordinates published below. Work out the spot, go there, and find the coin. Coins are not hidden in numerical order, and we announce here when new ones go out and when clues become available.
Find it, photograph both sides and where you found it, and show us. Stuck on a clue and want another? Email [email protected].
One rule of courtesy: leave an ugly penny in its place, in case somebody is right behind you still hunting.
What a finder gets
- A replacement novelty gold coin, printed just for this hunt.
- A $100 Visa gift card, good anywhere.
- $100 store credit at the GXT merch centre.
- A care package of random GXT gear from Momma-X.
- Free entry to any GXT event — no ticket, no cost, and a free drink when you get there.
- A free one-year membership to one of our paid sites.
- And once all fifty coins are found, coin holders — and only coin holders — get to play for a $1,000 prize in a final treasure hunt.
Prizes are handed out once all the coins are found. Current and former staff are not eligible.
